The objectives of this assignment are to identify issues related to daylighting and thermal comfort at double storey terraced / semi-detached houses and assess the current condition of daylight distribution and thermal comfort at double storey terraced /semi-detached houses, formulate ideas in addressing issues on daylight and thermal comfort at double storey terraced /semi-detached houses by incorporating passive design approaches.
Through this assignment, I would be able to explain the strategies that encourage effective environmental design principles and building practices inlocal and global contexts. (
Assignment 2 : Case Study – Green Buildings in Malaysia
The objectives of this assignment are raising awareness and increase public recognition of the importance of green buildings in addressing climate change and creating healthy environments and facilitating learning on green building through conducting a case study to extract and share valuable insights on applied environmental strategies, promote sustainable practices in architecture encouraging a shift towards more environmentally conscious building designs.
Through this assignment, I will be able to: relate environmental design considerations with local authorities, including understanding building regulations and sustainability rating tools and examine environmental factors in relation to natural or passive building design strategies used to achieve comfort level.
